The Chicago Wolves suffered their first loss of the season October 20th when they lost 4-1 against the Abbotsford Heat.


Period one:  Wolves right wing Zack Kassian scored at 8 minutes and 19 seconds...his third goal in as many games. Chicagos Yann Sauve battled an Abbotsford player along the boards for the puck and tapped it to Kassian who skated into the slot and rifled a shot past Barry Brust.


Period two: The Heat tied the score at one when Chicago's goaltender Eddie Lack came way out of his net to try and play the puck.Heat Center Adam Estoclet gained control and hit left wing Carter Bancks in front of the net. Bancks backhanded it in before Lack could get back to his net.


Period three:  At eight minutes and 44 seconds the Heats center Ben Walter's sharp pass found Dustin Sylvester right in front of the crease. And the Wolves trailed for the first time this season. Walters pass set up Sven Baertschi for another goal at 12 minutes and 44 seconds. Heats Roman Horak tacked on a power play goal at 14 minutes and 27 seconds.  Wolves lose 4-1
