The first two periods went quite well for the Wolves but in the third they seemed like they had given up and what resulted from that is a 3-2 loss to the Rivermen.

 

Period one:

Chicago opened the scoring at 4 minutes and 43 seconds when center Steve Pinzzotto picked up a rebound outside the crease and stick handled it around Peorias netminder Jake Allen to tuck home the puck. Assists to Darren Haydar and Andrew Ebbett. 

Peoria tied the score at one at 8 minutes and 33 seconds right wing Jaden Schwartz won a puck battle behind the Wolves net and flung a pass to the slot, where forward Sebastian Wannstrom shot a one-timer past Wolves goalie Matt Climie. 2nd assist to Cundari.

The Rivermen then opened up a 2-1 lead at 12 minutes and 41 seconds. Center TJ Hensick's pass from behind the Wolves net hit a Chicago defenders skate and trickled through Climies legs. Assits to Andronov and Bruton

 

Period two: 

The Wolves tied the score at 2 when Andrew Gordon and Darren Haydar skated into the Rivermen zone on a 2 on 1 rush and Haydar slipped a pass from the near circle to Gordon who banged home the puck into an empty net at 3 minutes and 40 seconds. Second assist to Brad Hunt.

 

Period three:

Peorias Andronov scored at nine minutes and 21 seconds to give Peoria the 3-2 win (assists to Regner and Bruton)
