Six different players for the Chicago Wolves as the Wolves defeated the Rockford IceHogs 6-3 on Friday, November 2nd at the BMO Harris Bank arena in Rockford, IL to stay in first place in the Midwest Division.

Chicago's Andrew Gordon opened the scoring at 4 minutes and 34 seconds of the first period with a quick shot past Rockford goaltender Carter Hutton (assists to Brad Hunt and Jordan Schroeder). Rockford answered the goal when Kyle Beach beat Lack off a slapshot through traffic at 16 minutes and 28 seconds (assists to Flick and Paradis).

Moments later..at 18 minutes and 24 seconds of the first period... Chicago's Brett Sterling grabbed the puck in the neutral zone and worked it through the Hogs defense and past Hutton for the Wolves third man-advantage goal of the season (Assists to Tanev and Kassian).

 

Just 2 minutes and 46 seconds into the second..Chicago's Jordan Schroeder tallied his third goal of the year off a setup by Tim Miller who earned his first point of the year. The second assist went to Derek Joslin.

Then it was Wolves defenseman Peter Andersson helping Bill Sweatt net a power play goal off a rebound at 10 minutes and 8 seconds. Second assist to Jordan Schroeder.

Trailing 4-1 near the 10 minute mark of the second; Rockford pulled their goalie Carter Hutton and replaced him with Alec Richards.  The switch sparked a quick power play goal by Rockford's Brandon Pirri at 13 minutes and 35 seconds bringing them within two (assists to Krueger and St. Pierre).

 

Chicago did not allow Rockford to have a third period comeback this time though. 

Chicago's Zack Kassian fed Chris Tanev in front of the net and the defenseman deked Richards to make it 5-2 Chicago at 10 minutes and 31 seconds. Second assist to Steve Pinizzotto. It was Tanevs first goal with the Wolves.

Rockford's Kyle Beach then scored his second goal of the night at 15 minutes and 58 seconds to make it a 5-3 game with 4 minutes to play. (unassisted).

But the Wolves had an answer as center Andrew Ebbett notched his second score of the season at 17 minutes and 33 seconds to send the Wolves away with the 6-3 victory!
