The Manchester Monarchs, AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will add two more players to their training camp roster bringing the roster to 24 players.

          The Los Angeles Kings loaned two players to Manchester on Wednesday, the same day the Monarchs training camp opened up at Sullivan Arena on the St. Anselm College Campus in Manchester, NH. The two players were returning defenseman Derek Forbort and center Nick Shore.

          Duluth, MN native Forbort appeared in only 6 regular season games and 4 playoff games for the Monarchs last season. Before Forbort was offered to an ATO, Amateur Tryout Agreement on April 6th of 2013 he played for the University of North Dakota since 2010. For the 42 games he played in 2013 for North Dakota he tallied 17 points with 4 goals and 13 assists, with the 11 games he played in for the Monarchs he only recorded one assist. Forbort was drafted 15th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings.

          20 year-old Shore, who was born in Denver, CO, was also loaned to Manchester. Since 2010 Shore has played in the WCHA with the University of Denver. During his 2012-13 season Nick recorded 34 points in 39 games with 14 goals and 20 assists. Shore was drafted 82nd overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
