After a first period with no fighting (but a GREAT fight between Chicago's Cody Beach and Lake Erie's Arseneau..see video), the Wolves opened scoring with a goal 18 seconds into the second period. Center Keith Aucoin sent the puck on net and it went through Lake Erie goaltender  Sami Aittokallio’s five-hole and was hovering in the crease so left wing Sergey Andronov could finish it off. Assists to Aucoin and defenseman David Sheilds.

The Wolves added to their lead at 6 minutes and 42 seconds when on a power play. Center Corey Locke won the opening faceoff of the man-advantage and sent the puck to right wing Mark Mancari at the blue line. Mancari returned the puck to Locke at the side of the net and Locke one-timed it back past Aittokallio. Second assist to right wing Shane Harper.

Sergey Andronov scored his second goal of the night at the 10 minute and 53 second mark of the third period. Locke received a drop pass just inside the blue line and released a shot while he was heavily defended. Andronov redirected the shot in front of the net to give the Wolves a 3-0 lead. Second assist to center Pat Cannone.

The game ended with Andronov scoring again and getting the seasons first hat trick. Locke had the puck with the empty net but passed it to Andronov so he could get the hat trick.

Wolves shut out the Monsters 4-0
